Fundamental Terms.

Most, if not all, of the units contained on this site will be in SI units. eg Kpa, deg. celcius, Bar, l/s, m3/sec.

Most of the electrical terms will relate to single phase 230-240vac and/or three phase 415vac.

This is primarily an Australasian site and many references will be made to cecomaf AND ashrae standards as well as Australian Codes Of Good Practice and Relevant EPA regulations.

Kilowatt cooling capacities will also be the norm. on this site with very little, if no reference to BTU/h and TONSrefig.

All calculations and charts will use the "Internationaly Reconised Standards" (SI units).

Hopefully the above conversion calc. will help all you Americans who still use IP units for calculations and reference. A general rule of thumb in the field is 7Kpa roughly equals 1psi.

Condensing and ambients will usually be discussed at Australian Ambients and test conditions, but the fundamentals and general rules are very simmilar.
